Theatreplan LLP is a specialist partnership offering consultancy services on performing arts and public assembly buildings to clients, architects and engineers. The scope of buildings covered is extensive, ranging from theatres and music venues to conference centres and school halls, and from listed buildings and found spaces to new builds. The range of services provided can match the scale of the project.

Theatreplan LLP was formed in 2004 to develop the business of Theatre Planning and Technology Limited which had been operating successfully since 1999. The eight partners comprise the five principal consultants of the former Limited Company and three new partners with extensive theatre architecture or theatre engineering backgrounds. Together they have more than 200 years experience in the performing arts in areas ranging from stage, event and technical management through technical equipment design and specification to auditorium design and architecture. The basic team is supplemented, when required, by working theatre professionals with knowledge of current practice in their specialist fields.

Theatreplan is dedicated to achieving the highest possible standards in its collaborations and is sensitive to design aspects as well as budget limitations. Complete attention to detail is paid with specification and selection of suitable technical installations. Theatreplan is independent of any interest in supplying services or equipment.

Theatreplan's achievements demonstrate a flexible and resourceful approach, embracing a wide range of projects, from small community arts venues to major national and international arts institutions, from restorations of historic auditoria to exciting new and found spaces.

Theatreplan is an autonomous company providing totally independent advice to clients. Judgements are made solely on the basis of the needs of the project and the users. Theatreplan has no commercial or other interest in any specialist manufacturer or contractor.
